about
For the winter this year, we wanted to try something different. Since we've secretly been Love Live! fans this whole time, we decided to turn our efforts toward the most legendary song in the Love Live catalogue: Snow Halation, by µ's.
So we rewrote it as an English-language song with the usual Crystal Furs wordy journalism major lyrics and performed it as a Pacific Northwest garage rock song, as is our way. It's a new take on a classic song, but one we tried to keep true to the original in spirit.
Please enjoy it with your holiday nog products this year, or at any time of year you so desire.
lyrics
Something in the air that has me feeling strange
Found in the colors of the world as seasons change
Captured by a feeling that I cannot deny
Like it fell to me out of the sky
That night we met
I heard the symphony start
Echo through my yearning heart
This prophetic melody
There’s no stopping now
No backing down, don't be shy
I’m wrapped up in this aching urgency
A fevered love…can I call it
Snow halation?
This feeling rings with total certainty
It resonates in a way called
Pure devotion
No time to hesitate,
It’s far too strong to wait
I’m brave enough to let it in
Now it can start
Fate can change our lives so very suddenly
Like a chill in winter comes on quietly
Taken by the future as my heart starts to race
Like the aching warmth of our embrace
And when you’re lost
And don’t know what to do
I’ll come running straight to you
Just to hold you tenderly
Wherever that we go
In sun or snow we’ll fly high
My heart can hear this yearning harmony
It can’t contain the depth of my
True emotion
It hurts to dream of this so endlessly
Of you and I, when our lives feel
So interwoven
I won’t be agonized
By the look that’s in your eyes
Just accept this love for what it is
And notice me please
I’m wrapped up in this aching urgency
A fevered love…can I call it
Snow halation?
This feeling rings with total certainty
It resonates in a way called
Pure devotion
No chance to hesitate,
It’s far too strong to wait
I’m brave enough to let it in
Now it can start
